Coremiocnemis hoggi comes from highland rainforest in West Malaysia, specifically Fraser’s Hill and Maxwell Hill. With several peak elevations exceeding 4000 ft., Fraser’s and Maxwell Hill are constantly moist. Temperatures stay within 63-77F.
Since description in 2010, C. hoggi has increased somewhat in availability. Despite uncommon physical features and somewhat unusual natural habitat, keeping C. hoggi has not proved more challenging than other, more common Selenocosmiinae.
