A smaller Pamphobeteus species, but notable for distinctive coloration. Ecuador’s Pamphobeteus ultramarinus is a hobby favorite, well-deserved it appears, with even females showing purplish femurs and metallic carapace markings. Spiderlings seem to become available every other year or so. They are hardy and eat well. We keep them at room temperature with slightly elevated humidity.
The above photos show adult females in different stages between molts.
