Idiothele mira 3/4″

Idiothele mira, a dwarf trapdoor African burrower, is easily kept and well-liked by Old World enthusiasts. Blue on the leg tips is an attractive feature, tending to show best in subadults and adults, but evident even in early instars.

The African species I. mira and Pterinochilus lugardi are the two terrestrial trapdoor species commonly available in the hobby.

A dry burrow helps prevent fungal or other microbial activity. Hydration can be maintained with regular feeding and if not, easy or regular access to water (dish or misting for a drink).
