Tarantulas in the Vitalius genus are not commonly kept. Of those available to us, Vitalius paranaensis stands out. Shades in a freshly molted specimen vary from dark to light grey, with distinct, light-colored leg bands at the joints and scattered dark markings on the carapace. Behavior, size, and keeping parameters are similar to Nhandu and Prosphapalopus species. Growth is slow and steady. Temperament is relaxed. V. paranaensis is recommended for those looking for unique, attractive, and affordable.
